In Response To: Why the change of TC members? (Marvin Coleman)

"Is there a reason? Was it harsh, or are they just trying to rotate new blood? Did someone just feel all had served long enough? And time to get a fresh perspective? I'm nearly guessing, and tossing out questions. Who did they receive notice from? Is this a disciplinary action? I know when people work in these positions, there is much time and effort put toward it. I was just wondering what the details were in this case."

We were given no reason. I was told that it was because we had an agenda. I answered that "yes, we did. We wanted the referee system kept free of favoritism and politics.

The email came from Robert Keller. I was told later that the EC did discuss this matter at a later time.

The USAPL By-Laws state in ARTICLE V, Section 5.2 Removals states: The EC may at any meeting thereof by two-thirds (2/3) vote of those present and voting, remove with cause from office any member of ANY committee and any officer. Any member of the EC may be removed with cause by 2/3 vote of the members of the National Committee. (I am quoting the full section, not that the last sentence has any meaning in this discussion or maybe none of the section does.)

There was no disciplinary action.

Those are the details as I know them. Robert did say in the email that he would be in touch but hasn't.
