Harriet,

Oh, I know Joe was just trying to be Ricardo Cabeza. LOL

Training was going ok until about a week ago. Went on a field trip with my daughter to an Organic, Biodynamic farm for 4 days. Yes, California.

Watching Hippies sing socialist songs around the campfire...and I'm not kidding: a young, white guy with dreadlocks singing about taking the land from the man. same guy that didn't wear shoes...in the corral or basically anywhere and who was constantly saying "visualize world peace" while throwing peace signs to the sky. Hearing some anti-gun rhetoric... and eating a lot of meatless meals. And of course every farm job except cooking involved manure of some type and there were many types - pig, horse, cow, sheep. You name it, I walked through it or shoveled it. It was basically like slavery except we actually PAID to go.

Oh, did I mention outhouses, cold water and wet toilet paper?

The kids all learned a lot. Pretty much that they don't want to be farmers. But I digress.

Training was going ok. I'm doing a meet this coming weekend and have no idea what I will lift, whether I'll lift ill-equipped or in gear or what. I haven't taken a squat with straps up and only two days with loose suit bottoms. Haven't worn a shirt.

Will probably decide what to do in the warmup room. LOL. Only need to hit a qualifier for geezers so I'm not going to worry too much. So far, no shoulder pain squatting or pulling. Shoulder pain is minimal when benching but it's still weak.

Basically will lift something, help my training partners and help the meet director as much as I can.

PEACE!
