Jason,
Obviously, I can't see behind the screen, but Joe's was a cheap shot.

As for popularizing the NAPF, I think Clint was doing some of that. Telling in a public forum what his experience was. We all do the same thing when we get home: "what a great meet and a great time."

We write about the meets, ask for volunteers, recruit at nationals. And beg and plead.

On the one hand people want international opportunities and on the other, don't take them.

We conceived of the NAPF meets as having a mix of abilities among the lifters. This was due to not wanting to overwhelm the other countries as they developed, but more importantly, to allow an opportunity for those who can't go to worlds.

But people have to take those opportunities. I really think that those who have gone have had a great time. Usually four star hotels, good venues (sometimes a little rough), friendly people.

So, how about it? No outhouses, no wet toilet paper, no white guys in dreadlocks saving the whales. Just good powerlifting and nice people, and nice weather too.
