Joe, and other matters

What a great thing to come home to, "Joe." Sometimes we wonder why there is such an air of negativity in powerlifting, and, wait, then 'Joe" shows us.

For Clint's part, he answered the call for a meet, lifted well, had a good time and won a medal.

As for the size of the meet, that is dependent on who goes. Every year, there is a NAPF powerlifting meet, and for the last two, a NAPF Bench Meet. They are advertised at the nationals, on the USAPL page, on the IPF page, in the newsletter, on the forums. Some people respond, many don't. But it is not for want of trying. At this year's Pan Am meet in Brazil we ended up scraping the bottom of the barrell. I lifted. But had there been full teams, better lifters would have taken those slots.

This coming year, there will be an NAPF meet in June (more or less). It will be in Aruba. There will be a NAPF Bench Meet in the fall, tentatively in Costa Rica.

Please keep these dates in mind. And, you heard it here first. For "Joe," perhaps Borneo.
