In Response To: Olympic Selection Process simplified /2 spots open (Jim Nicolosi)

Pat is right, we have NO CHANCE of being in the Olympics. I am one of powerlifting biggest fans but it has no chance. Because of drug scandels, weightlifting was on the verge of elimination from the Olympics. The IOC is trying to clean up the Olympics. The reality is that the IPF has had over 40 lifters in the last 11 MONTHS fail drug tests. The perception, whether true or not, is that drug usuage is rampant in the sport. There is no way the IOC is going to let us in.

Instead of chasing the pipedream, how about chasing a realistic goal of having nationals on ESPN 2 or Fox Sports Net?
