Has the equipment gotten out of hand?

Just trying to see what everyone's opinions on this are.
I know I've heard this from several people but then all of them are wearing the latest, tricked out shirt/suit while I am still using my 4 year old stuff. LOL
So if you were on the IPF exec how would you approach this? What level of equipment would be acceptable? How would you get some of your biggest sponsors (the equipment manufacturers) to buy in?
