In Response To: Idea for rule change...... (Jason Burnell)

Thats exactly how I feel. This rule stems from the fact that there is no rules briefing at the National and World level and takes no consideration of the local grass roots meets where it takes time to do the rules briefing, put the flights together, and allow competitors to warmup prior to an on-time start.

I was involved as a co-meet director with Jason and Lance for the Calif State meet on Aug 26, but many also know me as the USPF State Chair. The USPF just made this rule change at our national meeting on Aug 19 which will now allow weigh-ins to end one hour prior to meet start time and this in turn will be a huge benefit to starting a meet on time. I encourage the USAPL to propose this rule change as well.
