So instead of pushing back the meet time 15 or 20 minutes at the local level which happens all the time at just about every local meet, make a rule change to accompany this at the local level. Those lifters that are planning on setting records can still weigh-in 2 hours before lifting starts. If weigh-in is from 7-830 and lifting starts at 930 just let everyone know if they plan on setting any records that they will have to weigh-in starting at 730. Then mark the time they weighed in on their score card.
