In Response To: Re: Idea for rule change...... (Steve Denison)

I schedule my meets with a rule briefing time set at the end of weigh-ins.

After giving the rules briefing I announce that lifting will start in 30 minutes. I can cheat (for the lifters sake) by playing the National Anthem at the thirty minute mark, and taking a minute or so to introduce the judges.

Remember that the starting lifters are generally ready to go, while the heavier openers might still have almost 15 to 20 minutes before their opener.

The meet is for the lifters....TREAT THEM THAT WAY!
