Your advice is well-taken. This is going to be more of an experiment than anything else. My meet is August 26th and I'm currently sitting at 232-233 first thing in the morning. I'm going to clean my diet up, without dropping the calories too drastically, and see what happens. If I get down to 224-225 or so that way, I'll try the water loss thing. If not, I'll probably just lift at 242. My motivation is that since I got into the sport in 2002, I've wanted to qualify for Nationals (not necessarily go, just qualify). I figure I may be able to get to 1660 @ 220 easier than I can get to 1700 @ 242.
