Good post Ric--I agree--They should have left the old bench calls alone in the first place.
At one time some years ago those in charge made a mistake and asked me my opinion about some rule changes including the changes listed above in these posts. I will repeat what I said.
Nobody likes to say--ooops, we goofed. The point is most lifters who used the old command before the change liked it the way it was.
What I said then was that rather then admit a mistake the rule would go to another command added to the ones we now use, and sometime later they would remove the start command from the lift.
Why not do it all at once.
I also said they will have to send me to auctioner school to teach me to talk faster to get all those commands out in time.
They dont ask me my opinion anymore so I will just say--"Told you so!!"
