I wanted to get my own info and hear from the other side, directly from the source of all the work that was done over the last number of years. That side should be represented here also.

I was told that Mike Armstrong’s database being his own property is totally untrue. The database was always housed on the usapowerlifting.com website servers, and it was always USAPL property. Plus, I was told the charges paid for the newsletter production, which included the rankings database and annual rankings list, had actually gone down!

USAPL paid Mike $1000 per issue (he worked an avg. of 50 hrs. for each). For the first few years, it came out consistently every 2 months, six issues a year. In the final year, it was cut back to 4 issues a year. Even at that, it was often delayed, due to waiting for content (but it came out).

No one else on USAPL’s end had anything to do with it either, I am told. Therefore, there likely were no other costs involved.

So this "rising at an alarming rate," is completely untrue.
